Catch by the numbers – 2021 Update

After unprecedented growth in FY20, the marketplace was able to continue the momentum as Wesfarmers announced in its annual report a further 41% growth in FY21.

What’s been happening at Catch?

In 2021, customer and seller experience was a continued focus for the Catch team. Through the analysis of buyer behaviour and feedback, the Catch team was on a mission to bring on the best brands from Australia and around the globe to meet and exceed their customer’s expectations. As a result, brands like Apple, Air Jordan, Lego, Samsung and many others are now available to Catch’s increasing loyal customer base and OnePass members.

Their initiative to continually improve buyer experience lead to the development of more dynamic search algorithms and ‘Wishlist’ features. This means customers can find the products they’re searching for easier, and keep live track of items for future purchases. With ‘smarter data’, Catch customers now receive even more relevant and customised purchase suggestions, allowing users to better control their own shopping journey. – 2021

For sellers, exponential growth in the Marketplace team headcount and the establishment of the Catch Partner Network resulted in greater support in the signup, onboarding, launching and ongoing selling experience for Catch store owners. Now, every seller will be paired with a category expert to find their best fit on the marketplace as well as a dedicated onboarding specialist to help them launch their Catch marketplace store.

Once launched, Catch has made it easier than ever for sellers to list their full range on the marketplace with features such as ‘Auto-Approval’. After gaining this status, businesses will be able to set new products live instantly and be rewarded for consistent, high-quality data.
